Joondalup, Wanneroo and the corridor north to Yanchep are supplied from container stock held at a Fremantle depot and trucked up the Mitchell Freeway. The corridor runs from established coastal suburbs to brand-new estates to market gardens, and the checks are different for each.

Three kinds of place, one set of plain answers.
What goes in them up the northern corridor
Around the older coastal suburbs — Hillarys, Sorrento, Duncraig, Ocean Reef — it is mostly household overflow, renovation storage and somewhere to keep the boat gear. In the newer estates from Clarkson and Butler through Alkimos, Eglinton and Yanchep, it is families on small lots who ran out of garage in the first year, and builders who want a lockable site box that is still there in the morning.
Wanneroo is different again. The market gardens and orchards through Carabooda, Nowergup and Mariginiup use containers for packing materials, fertiliser, tools and irrigation spares. The horse properties around Jandabup and Gnangara use them for feed and tack. And the Wangara and Neerabup industrial areas use them the way industrial areas everywhere do — as extra lockable floor space next to the workshop.
No yard up here — this is how it works
We are not based in Joondalup or anywhere in Western Australia, and there is no local yard with our name on the gate. WA stock is held at a third-party depot in Fremantle, loaded there, and trucked north to you.
You are welcome to inspect a container at the Fremantle depot by arrangement. Or ask us for photos of the specific unit you are getting, and we will send them before delivery. Quotes, questions and bookings all go through the sales line.

What to check before you order in Joondalup
The northern corridor mixes established suburbs, brand-new estates and working farmland, so the list below covers all three. Skip whatever does not apply to you.
Does your estate have building guidelines?
Many of the newer estates in Alkimos, Eglinton, Yanchep and Butler come with developer design guidelines or restrictive covenants covering outbuildings, fencing and what can be seen from the street. A container in view of the road can fall foul of them. Read yours, or ask the developer, before the truck turns up.
Is the lot fenced and landscaped yet?
On a new lot, the easy time to get a container into the backyard is before the side fence, gate and retaining go in. Once the fence is up, the only way over it is often a crane truck. If you are still building, think about the order of things now.
Is there limestone just under the sand?
Along the coast from Ocean Reef to Two Rocks, limestone often sits a short way under the surface. It is good footing and awkward to dig. You will usually level a container here by building up the low corners rather than cutting down the high ones.
On a market garden: where are the pipes?
Irrigation lines, bore pipes and buried power are everywhere on horticultural blocks. A loaded truck rolling over a shallow poly line will crush it. Mark anything underground between the gate and the spot, and keep the route off it.
Will the farm track carry a truck?
Tracks through Wanneroo's sand are fine for a ute and not always fine for a truck carrying a container. If your track is loose, a load of limestone or road base on the worst patch before delivery can make the difference.
Are there low trees along the driveway?
Tuart, banksia and peppermint trees along an older driveway often hang low. The tilt-tray bed lifts high at the back. Look up along the whole route in, not just at the spot where the container lands.
Wanneroo
Farms, market gardens and the Gnangara sand
East of Wanneroo Road the country opens up into market gardens, orchards and horse properties on deep grey sand. It drains quickly, which is good for a container sitting on it, and it can be soft on top in summer when it dries out and loosens. A truck turning hard on loose sand digs itself in.
Plan the route so the driver can go in straight and, ideally, come out forwards. Put the container handy to the packing shed or stables but out of the tractor's way. And think about water: if a sprinkler or a leaking fitting wets one side every day, move it — sand that stays damp against the base is what rusts the bottom rails and cross members from underneath.
On the ground
Beachside suburbs and the westerly
In Ocean Reef, Mullaloo, Iluka and the other beachside suburbs, the westerly carries salt and sand onto anything left outdoors. A container copes well with it if you keep the paint up and the drainage around it clear, and poorly if sand is allowed to bank up against one side and hold moisture.
The same breeze pushes steel doors around with real force. Site the container so the doors open away from the prevailing afternoon wind, and use something solid to hold them when you are working inside.
What access a truck needs
A tilt-tray drop needs a straight approach, firm footing, and headroom where the bed lifts. On older blocks around Joondalup and Duncraig that usually means a driveway and a double gate. On new estate lots it may be nothing but a single garage door and a narrow side path, in which case a side loader or crane is needed.
Wangara and Neerabup industrial yards are generally straightforward for any size, 40ft included. Farms are fine if the track is firm and there is room to turn or somewhere to reverse out.

The delivery is part of the container quote, worked out for your address. It varies with how far up the corridor you are and with the truck your site needs. We do not publish a single number because a single number would be wrong for most people.

Straight answers
What northern corridor callers ask
Do you have a depot in Joondalup or Wanneroo?
No. Western Australian stock is held at a Fremantle depot run by another company, and your container is trucked north from there. You can inspect it at the depot by arrangement, or ask for photographs before delivery.
Will a container breach my estate covenant?
It might. Covenants and design guidelines vary from estate to estate. Check the documents from your land purchase or ask the developer before ordering — we cannot tell you what yours allows.
Can you get a container into my backyard after the fence is up?
Sometimes through a double gate, sometimes only with a crane truck lifting over the fence. Send a photo of the side access and the backyard and we will tell you honestly which it is.
Can you deliver to a market garden in Carabooda?
Yes. Tell us the gate width, what the track is like and where the underground services run. Sandy tracks can be soft, so we may ask for photos to judge whether the truck can get in and back out.
Do I need approval from the City of Wanneroo or the City of Joondalup?
It depends on the lot, how long the container stays and what it will be used for, and the two cities have their own rules. Check with the right one before delivery.
Should I buy new or used?
If it will sit in full view on a new estate, a new single-trip unit looks the part and is sold wind and watertight. If it is going behind a shed on a farm, cargo-worthy used is usually the better value and is also sold wind and watertight. As-is units are the cheapest and are not sold watertight.
